免費能源審核服務

[Is the free energy audit service really free? 】

There is a free energy audit service available today. Is it really free or a gimmick? Does a free energy audit live up to its name? In fact, there are several steps and procedures for an energy audit, and a REA registered energy assessor must review the building data in accordance with the Energy Audit Code and write an energy audit report. However, there are only nearly 1,400 registered energy assessors in Hong Kong. So basically it will not be a free and complete energy audit service. So what is the so-called free energy audit? How is it different from a formal energy audit?

Formal Energy Audit Services

A complete energy audit should be carried out by the REA through the energy data collected, providing energy saving suggestions to the building owner, preparing an energy audit report, etc. The first step in the energy audit is to send engineering personnel to the building The system collects energy data, which is the operational characteristics of the building and technical data on various energy-consuming equipment related to the central building services installation.

Review collected energy consumption equipment information and data

Through on-site inspections and analysis of collected energy efficiency data, we understand the energy consumption of central building equipment and systems, and compile systematic records of energy-consuming equipment based on the analysis results.

Identify energy management opportunities

Based on the research and analysis results of energy data, and evaluating the energy performance of energy-consuming equipment or system buildings under corresponding operating conditions, including:

(a) Chiller/heat pump energy consumption (kWh per annum);
(b) Variable refrigerant flow system (kWh per annum);
(c) Air distribution system (such as fresh air blower and typical blower, parking lot ventilation) - fan
Electrical power consumption (W per liter/s);
(d) Water distribution system - water pump electrical power consumption (W per liter/s);
(e) Lighting power density (watts per square meter) (W/m2);
(f) Energy performance of other equipment/systems; and
(g) Building energy use index.

Explore possible energy-saving methods

Such as replacing existing energy-consuming equipment/systems with more energy-saving models or more energy-efficient configurations, or adding equipment/systems, operating existing energy-consuming equipment/systems in a more efficient manner, and adopting energy recovery systems and applications. On-site renewable energy systems.

Provide energy saving suggestions

We can adjust the implementation time and provide energy-saving suggestions based on the funds of the building owner or enterprise, and calculate the cost of these energy-saving measures, as well as the energy savings after the measures are implemented, and evaluate the costs and benefits.

Prepare energy audit report

Finally, the REA residential energy efficiency assessor prepares and verifies the energy audit report. After completing the energy audit report, it is submitted to the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department together with other relevant documents.

Free energy audit service

The free energy audit service provided by CLP and HK Electric is relatively simple. First of all, it is certain that this service does not meet the BEEO "Building Energy Efficiency Ordinance" because it does not include collecting energy data in the building and preparing an energy audit report. The free energy audit service of ELECTRIC and HK Electric will send REA to conduct on-site inspections and provide energy-saving suggestions and improvement plans. However, this suggestion is not based on the analysis of various energy data of the building.

We are Hong Kong Energy Audit , providing energy audit services in Hong Kong. REA registered energy efficiency assessors will provide energy saving suggestions and opinions on the energy data of the building, and will also complete the entire compliant energy audit service in accordance with the Energy Audit Code. Welcome Contact our customer service and REA team at any time to make an appointment for an interview.
