BEAM Plus EB (Existing Building)

BEAM Plus (Building Environmental Assessment Method) is a green building assessment standard in Hong Kong that aims to promote the design and operation of sustainable buildings. This standard was launched by the Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC) in 2010 to improve the environmental performance and indoor environmental quality of Hong Kong buildings.

In 2010, the first version of BEAM Plus was officially launched, which was mainly targeted at new commercial buildings. In subsequent years, BEAM Plus has undergone multiple revisions and expansions to cover residential, renovation and other types of construction. With the release of BEAM Plus 2.0, the assessment of environmental impact has been further strengthened and a more detailed scoring mechanism has been introduced.

BEAM Plus is an assessment standard designed specifically for Hong Kong, so its roots and development are entirely based in Hong Kong. As an important economic and construction center in Asia, Hong Kong is widely recognized for its efforts in promoting sustainable construction.
