Collection: Energy audit services

1. We provide energy audit services for the thirteen types of buildings specified in the Building Energy Efficiency Ordinance.

The Building Energy Efficiency Ordinance specifies that owners of buildings (whether new or existing buildings) must appoint a registered energy efficiency assessor every 10 years to conduct assessments for four major building services installations in accordance with the latest version of the Energy Audit Code. , conduct energy audits, including air-conditioning installations, lighting installations, electrical installations, lifts and escalator installations.

The energy audit services we provide will be conducted by professional engineers and registered energy assessors, including:

• Collect building information
• Review energy-consuming equipment
• Identify energy management opportunities
• Cost-benefit analysis of energy management opportunities
• Provide energy saving suggestions
• Prepare energy audit report

2. And we provide energy audit services for Major Retrofitting Works projects stipulated in the Building Energy Efficiency Ordinance.

The Building Energy Efficiency Ordinance stipulates that the person responsible for a building (whether a new or existing building) (e.g. owner, tenant or occupier, etc.) shall complete "“Major Retrofitting Works" in units or common areas within the building. Within 2 months after the "project", a "Registered Energy Assessor" must be appointed to certify that the replaced or retrofitted building services installations comply with the latest version of the "Building Energy Efficiency Code" and report to the "Registered Energy Assessor"  obtains a "Compliance Form", and the energy audit services we provide will be conducted by professional engineering personnel and registered energy  assessors.

Major Retrofitting Works covered

• The Ordinance covers the 13 types of prescribed buildings
• The "Building Energy Efficiency Code" involves four major types of building services installations, including air-conditioning and lighting systems, electricity and lift and escalator installations.

Definition of Major Retrofitting Works

Project area:
(i) Add or replace building services installations specified in the Building Energy Efficiency Code and meet the following conditions:

• Calculated based on one unit or one common area, the total floor area covered by the project (i.e. project area) is not less than 500 square meters
• Or if the works are carried out in stages or in different places within a unit or a common area as a series of works, and the total floor area (i.e. project area) covered by these works is not less than 500 square meters in total within 12 months .

or involving central building services installations

• (ii) Add or replace major components of a central building services installation, including: a complete circuit with a rating of 400 amperes or above;
• or a single package air conditioner, heat pump or chiller with a cooling or heating rating of 350 kilowatts or above;
• or the motor drive and mechanical drive of a lift, escalator or passenger conveyor.
